Paying into your Manchester Credit Union Account could not be easier.

It couldn’t be simpler to save with us and you can save as much or as little as you like.

Your savings are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to a maximum of £85,000.

Once you join us, you can pay into your MCU savings account in lots of different ways:

  • You can pay cash in with your membership card at any Paypoint or Post Office. If you do not have a membership card, you can order one by email in our “contact us” section. (Please retain your receipts for these payments as they will take 3 working days to arrive in your MCU account).
  • You can send us a cheque in the post. Please send the cheque to our Head Office address in our “contact us” section. Please note our cheque clearing cycle is as follows:
    • Cheque value up to £500 - up to 7 working days
    • Cheque value over £500 - 15 working days

Directly from one of your benefits, such as Child Benefit or Tax Credits. You will need to contact the DWP and supply them with the following details:

NOTE: If you pay your Universal Credit into Manchester Credit Union, you will need to provide us with your unique payment reference each time you receive a payment. Without this payment reference, we cannot allocate your payment to your account.
