New award for Manchester Credit Union

Members will be aware that Manchester Credit Union works closely with England’s Illegal Money Lending Team to support the important work they do to target and prosecute Loan Sharks. We often highlight their campaigns on our social media channels and we run events to drive awareness of the problem. We also have some of their information and resources on our website so that any member who is involved with, or is being targeted or threatened by a loan shark, knows where to find help and advice.

As a result of our working relationship with the Illegal Money Lending Team, we are proud to let you know we have been granted Partner status. This award recognises our efforts to keep our members and the wider public informed about the dangers of Loan Sharks and also that we make every effort to promote the importance of financial wellbeing.
