New branch opens at Stretford Mall

Manchester Credit Union were delighted to welcome Cllr Andrew Western, Leader of Trafford Council to their new branch at the end of last month. Chief Executive Christine Moore and Chairman Peter Mitchell were pleased to show Cllr Western around and explain more about how Manchester Credit Union can help the local community to become more financially resilient.

Christine said, “We are so pleased to finally open our new branch in Stretford Mall. Due to COVID the opening had been delayed but we are really looking forward to welcoming new and existing members into the branch. We are grateful that Cllr Western was able to find time in his busy schedule to visit us.” Peter added, “I am delighted that we have been able to bring back credit union services to Trafford on a full time basis and would like to thank Trafford Council and Bruntwood for their support in facilitating this.”

I am absolutely delighted that this facility has opened in Stretford. Credit Unions provide a massive boost to neighbourhoods and provide much-needed support where it is needed most.
