Shark competition winner

We recently hosted an event at Mill Gate shopping centre to draw attention to the dangers of loan sharks operating in Bury as part of our partnership with the Illegal Money Lending Team. They do great work to prosecute loan sharks and confiscate their assets under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. Our event was designed to raise awareness of their work and that a Credit Union was a better option for families in need of affordable loans.

As part of our event we had lots of arts and crafts activities, giveaways and a children’s competition to ‘Draw a Shark’. We had lots of entries so it was tough to make a decision but eventually we chose Hope Isherwood as the winner of our competition along with 3 runners up; Miley-Rose Birrane, Scarlett Brown and Rumaysa Ayub.

Thanks to all the families who came down to see us at Mill Gate - we hope you all had a fun time.
