About Us

We have been providing Mancunians with ethical savings and loans since 1991. We are a Credit Union which is a financial co-operative, owned and controlled by its members. We exist solely for the benefit of our members and as a "not-for-profit" any surplus generated is not used to pay big bankers bonuses but is returned to members in the form of a dividend on savings or used to improve services to members.

Savings

We are on a mission to make our members better off.

It couldn’t be simpler to save with us - you can save as much or as little as you like, either weekly, monthly or as often as you wish. Once you join us, you can pay into your MCU savings account in lots of different ways:

• By standing order - once set up, watch your savings grow with no further action required!
• Bank Transfer as and when it suits you.
• Directly from your wages as a BEESMART Payroll Member.

Loans

Whether you're looking to borrow to help with your household expenses or for a larger purchase, we have the right personal loan to suit you. We've made it easy to borrow as little as £150 or up to £15,000 at a fair, affordable rate with no application fees and no early repayment charges.

• Flexible - Repayments can be tailored to suit your budget and can be made weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
